The league rival York Golden Knights defeated the Caledonia-Mumford Red Raiders 2-1 to advance to the Western Regionals after a battle under the lights and on the turf of McAvoy Park.
The York Golden Knights (Class CC champs) girls soccer team knocked off the Caledonia-Mumford Red Raiders (Class AAA) on Wednesday, November 8, 2-1 at McAvoy Park to move on to the Class C Western Regionals as the Section V representative. Amber Burdick scored the game winner in the second half with Lisa Skeffington assisting. Skeffington put York up 1-0 with her first half goal from Jenna Carson. Bre Few tied it up for the Red Raiders eight mintues into the second half.
